Dystopia // Micro Macro Book
For this project I was tasked with designing a comprehensive book that implements a system of two distinct text's. The small set text is taken from George Orwell's 1945 novel "Animal Farm," while the larger callouts are from Reyner Banham's 1955 architectural essay titled "The New Brutalism." The primary neutral display typeface of this book is Balboa Condensed, designed by Jim Parkinson. The macro text is Inter, designed by Rasmus Andersson, and is set at 6 pt with 9 pt leading. The micro text is a custom variation of IBM Plex Mono made on enFONT TERRIBLE.
